County has its own special way of celebrating its heritage, unique
character and friendly atmosphere. Go to our event calendar and
find out when to make a special visit to La Grande and our small

Grassroots Festival, the Cove Cherry Fair, and Crossing The Blues
- La Grande Summer Festival, you will find lots of community spirit

Summer has finally arrived! It's a great time for and evening
stroll on the Historic Homes Walking Tour. La Grande has many
beautiful older homes, so stop by our office for the brochure
& map and enjoy the weather and the lovely homes.

The Wallowa Union Railroad encourages business people, event planners
and organizations to consider chartering the Eagle Cap Excursion
Train for get-togethers of all kinds. Whether planning a team
building retreat, a family reunion, wedding reception, or incentive
for a job well done, consider the train. Charter a special trip
or buy a block of seats on a scheduled trip. With the new RDC
cars trips can be arranged for the length and duration desired.
Per passenger prices vary with the number of people riding and
the length of trip. Catering is available on board, providing
meals from ultra-casual to fine dining.
Blocks of tickets are also available to businesses at a reduced
price for incentive gifts to clients or employees. Please call
